When are You Going to Learn that Texas Holdem Poker is About Seating!

I have been playing poker now for about 5 years, I have played cards my entire life starting with games of Gin Rummy for pennies with my Grand Mother, to all of the various types of Brag and general random games such as Go Fish, Crash and one so gracefully called, card on head game. I used to usually win, whatever game we were betting and even though I liked to call it skill, it was quite hard to justify thinking about the randomness of the games we were wagering, so I was over joyed to accept I was having a long-term run of luck.
Then came Poker, or far more importantly Texas hold’em Poker, made famous by a bunch of Texas card gamblers in the 60’s and since grown into one of the biggest card phenomena ever seen. Poker is totally the new black, it can be ultra awesome with quite a few of the world’s leading super stars racing to have their name associated with it. Just a quick flick through the TV channels nowadays and you can not escape from poker, and needless to say there is the fabled WSOP, the Holy Grail and Mecca all rolled into one for each and every individual player.
So with all of this new found recognition, with so several Tv shows devoted to poker, and magazine and book shelves filled up with high quality material written by the foremost minds on poker, when are folks going to understand that this game is all about position!?
Perhaps I must not receive so worked up about this, after all the more people who have difficulty with the delicate tactics and approaches required for succeeding regularly at Texas hold’em, the better it is for everyone else, correct? I mean, if they can not be bothered to read all of the readily available data about why position is so essential, why ought to we bother? We ought to just be happy there is another fish at the table!
It is true, we ought to not reward procrastination with guidance and support. On the other hand, I liken this to a helpful game of football. Naturally the levels aren’t so high, but when you notice a player struggling, you help them, provide them a few advice, ultimately showing them a way to like, like and be thankful for the casino game as much as you. I’m asking all house gamblers to do the same thing with their poker friends who have not quite grasped the nuances of wagering position. Guide them to grow their respect for the casino game. Obviously, do not attempt to try this one in your local gambling establishment, the sharks will not appreciate you instructing their lunch how to swim!
