Online poker has become globally acclaimed lately, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, stretches back in reality a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years several types on the earliest poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with 21 than old guard poker, in that the gamblers bet against the casino rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no concealment or different types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up just before the croupier broadcasting "No more wagers." At that moment, both you and the bank and of course all of the other players attain five cards. Once you have observed your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you have to in turn make a call bet or surrender. The call wager’s amount is on same level to your original ante, which means that the risks will have doubled. Surrendering means that your bet goes immediately to the bank. After the wager is the showdown. If the house doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, plus a sum equal to the initial bet. If the house does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The house pony’s up chips even with your bet and set expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
