No Joke, huge amounts of people are trying to be the next "mega star" in poker, but here is a short rundown on 4 of the more well known "charming players" of the game. Granted "nice" is associated with their names when you are sitting accross the table from them it is "no more Mr. Nice guy" up until they have removed you out of the game!
Daniel Negreanu
In 2004, his tournament payouts amounted to in excess of 4.4 million dollars and he attained 2 immensely respected awards in the WSOP Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Tournament Player of the Year. In February 2006 he was named Card Player’s Preferred Poker Player. Daniel still has the decency to speak to his fans about how they might boost their own game.
Howard Lederer
Called "The Professor" and sibling of fellow poker pro Annie Duke. His success has allowed him to make an instructional poker video called "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and also hosting a tournament poker show for Fox TV. As of Two Thousand and Five, his total life earnings surpass 2.7 million dollars.
Scotty Nguyen
Scott is 1 of the busiest players in professional poker and from 2000 and Two Thousand and Four he ranked in the money in well over 100 events. He’s notorious for saying "yeah baby" during poker games and also credited with the phrase "that’s poker baby" when referring to a exceptionally bad beat. As of Two Thousand and Six, his career winnings are almost 6 million dollars.
Chris Ferguson
Chris has captured five WSOP titles with two of his successes happening in 2003. Has the alias "Jesus" because of his trademark long hair and beard, and is able to toss cards fast enough to slice through bananas and pickles. As of 2005 his total live poker tourney earnings exceeded $5 million.
